All our handheld and helmet safety lights are proudly manufactured in Europe by ADARO Tecnología S.A., a company with over 100 years of experience and a globally recognized leader in technology and innovation.

Our history

1902 - Adaro & Marín founded in Northern Spain (Europe).

Adaro Tecnología is the manufacturer of Adalit brand flashlights. Our company, Adaro Tecnología SA, descends from different business names, locations and several generations of the same family, from the original Adaro & Marín Society, founded in 1902 by Luis Adaro y Magro.

Our history

1914 - The first Spanish manufactured gasoline safety lamp is introduced.

During the early years of the company, we dedicated our efforts to the manufacture of bathroom faucets and home lamps, many of which were prepared to run on gas. In 1914, after conducting various tests and trials, we developed the first safety lamp powered with benzene in Spain, to be used in coal mines and that fulfilled all the mining safety requirements at that time.

Our history

1940 - Launch-Electro-pneumatic lamp

Subsequently, our company manufactured, under various foreign licenses, several types of flame lamps and the first electric lamps with accumulators, both alkaline and acidic. In the 1940s, in order to meet the guidelines of the new safety regulations and the demands for better lighting, we succeeded to produce the electro-pneumatic lamp Adaro to be used in mines, both in the working areas and in the dragging tunnels.

Our history

1950 - First helmet lamps for the mining industry.

During the period from 1950 to 1980, the new generations of mining electric lamps for helmets were manufactured under Ceag’s English license.

Our history

1980 - Adaro “P” helmet lamp with lead acid battery.

In the year 1980 we completed the development of the helmet lamp model “P” Adaro, that used a lead acid battery.

Our history

1988 - First “Alfa” helmet lamp, with ergonomic shape, maintenance-free, with nickel cadmium batteries.

The helmet lamp was substantially improved in 1988 with the first ergonomically shaped, maintenance-free battery helmet lamp, our model Alfa that incorporated nickel cadmium batteries.

Our history

1990 - New generation of Rechargeable ATEX Safety Flashlights for explosive atmospheres.

In the 1990s, Adaro underwent a major transformation, focusing on innovation and advanced technology by strengthening its R&D department. It also prioritized quality, achieving ISO 9001 certification in 1996. As a result, the company focused on leading sectors requiring ATEX flashlights for working in potentially explosive atmospheres. This led to the creation of the ADALIT line of rechargeable safety flashlights, used by firefighters, industry, the military, and rescue services. The latest models include ultralight lithium-ion batteries and high-power LED technology.

Our history

2000-2020 International expansion: 85% of production is exported to more than 40 countries around the world.

During the past three decades, the company has strengthened and consolidated its degree of internationalization, establishing a solid network of distributors and agents abroad, which has resulted in Adaro becoming, nowadays, in a company fully focused abroad with clients in a great diversity of countries. This process of internationalization, in continuous expansion, allows Adaro to have reached an export volume that represents 85% of the total equipment produced, consolidating its sales in more than 40 countries.

Our history
